I am following the legal events following the take over of Washington Mutual Bank by the FDIC in 2008. The bankruptcy trial was concluded in March of 2012. DOcuments produced during the trial indicated that the company was targeted for sale by JP Morgan Chase 2 years before the take over in August of 2008. JP Morgan, led by CEO Jamie Dimon, viewed acquiring WAMU to shore up it's West Coast Presence and it's over 2,500 retail branches. This will chronicle recent events which includes the settlement reached by the Court of the Bankruptcy and subsequent activities, including a legal action again Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan.
