Early Thursday morning, House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa found the time to appear on Fox News to preview his Benghazi hearing, which was scheduled for later in the day:
Issa told Fox that the hearing was a crucial because:
Today, what we're mostly going to hear is that the State Department's own investigation—so-called Accountability Review Board—has had no accountability. Every single person identified by that board is back on their job, never having lost a day's pay.
So, if you're wondering why it is that one year after the Benghazi attack no Americans have yet been punished for an attack carried out by terrorists in Libya, Darrell Issa is your man. He will not rest until we have the truth.
Well, except for the part about once the hearing got underway, Issa couldn't find the time to stay for the whole thing:
I guess no more interruptions from Issa. He's left the chairman seat. Presiding over hearing now is Rep. Chaffetz.

And it wasn't just Issa:
Unlike the last Oversight hearing on Benghazi, there are a lot more members missing today. Empty seats everywhere.

Take a look for yourself (that's Chaffetz in the chairman's seat):
To be fair to Issa, he's attended most of the hearing (which has not yet concluded as of 12:26 PM ET), but for something that he's claimed is the most important thing since ever, why wasn't it important enough for him to tough it out for the full thing?
