Just finished watching a clip (?) of Chelsea Clinton "interviewing" Hillary Clinton, and I thought: "I wonder if they are related?"
Seriously......I read Amy Davidson's "The Coming Hillary Clinton Train Wreck" in the online New Yorker today, and though it had a few points, the author did not come close to offering much evidence for the predicted "train wreck."
Chelsea opened with a positive characterization of Hillary and popped her bon mot, of course I am biased!
All three Clintons wear many hats: philanthropist, politician, would-be politician, president, would-be president, journalist and friend of Wall Street. (I'm biased, too!)
I haven't watched B.Clinton "interviewing" Obama on the same stage as The Clinton Global Initiative's public presentation, but the C&HClinton bit had me thinking youhavereallygottobekidding.
As, I have said, it may have been just a clip (no telly) and perhaps the interview went on, but from what I saw, Chelsea asked one question and Hillary went on and on about everything under the goddam sun.
Let me ask a question of normal folk (I hope a few of you are here tonight): Would you apply for your dream job and submit letters of recommendation from your family? And expect to get the job?
Hillary's coyness with regard to her presidential aspirations risks becoming Palinesque. Sure, test the waters, because the waters ended up flipping your board the last time. Shall we call it "cautious calculation?"
Either she is genuinely on the cusp, or she is methodically making sure the proper PR is in place to make it a certainty. And being interviewed by your daughter in a forum that has its focus on a philanthropic organization instituted by your husband?
2016 presidential campaign blooper: You get 3 of us for the price of 1!
