Scam I Am

An Open Letter to Senator Ted Cruz of Texas:

Dear Senator Cruz,
On the occasion of your "filibluster" (h/t Ben Alpers), I wanted to communicate my own thoughts as a parent of two disabled children who would be denied coverage for their pre-existing conditions if your pathetic, spite-driven and spittle-flecked scheme to defund Obamacare had a hope in Hades of succeeding. First let me compliment on being born in Canada, which is quite the best thing about you. The worst is of course that you were ever born at all, you putrescent tuft of scrotal fungus. While I understand that the banjo-playing, livestock-molesting, slack-jawed yokels that you laughably call constituents may well support your risible, symbolic stunt, I reserve the right to burn you symbolically in effigy in response. And when you invoke the good name of Dr Seuss in the course of your inane prattling, then, Sir, you go too far. I have, however, no doubt that the effluent of verbiage that you have unleashed upon an innocent world in the last 24 hours will make your name in the neo-Fascist quagmire that is today's Republican Party. Oh, the places you'll go.*

Sincerely,
Bob Lemon

* Hell, indisputably.

See over the fold for how Dr Seuss will now have to be revised in light of the besmirchment perpetrated by the junior Senator from Texas.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
