November 5, 2013 Texans will have an opportunity to test the new voter ID laws and adopt amendments to our gargantuan constitution as well as participate in important local decisions. Monday October 7 is the last day to have your voter registration recieved by the county voter registrar.

Texas is dead last in voter turnout at the polls in this country, and Republicans have worked to make it even harder for voters by passing laws that require Texas voters to show photo identification at polling places in order to vote.

The Texas Department of Public Safety announced on Tuesday it is offering another way for potential voters to obtain a photo ID needed to vote.
Twenty-five mobile locations will begin processing the election identification certificates on Oct. 1. The documents, which are free for applicants who meet voter requirements and show proof of identity and citizenship, are also available at driver's license offices.
