Hi all--sorry to take up space but this is a good resource for this sort of thing.
I've got about a trillion dollars in student loans to pay back after a bunch of years in grad school--only thing is I'm living in Barcelona at the moment and have a Spanish bank account, which they won't accept.
Rather than tack on western union or money-order commission fees to the already egregious sums, are there any commission-free ways I can do this? I have a U.S bank account but it still costs some money to transfer from the Spanish account to the American one. I see that some people have suggested opening a citibank account--would people recommend that as a good option?
Thanks, and I will get back to yelling at you guys about guns and Israel/Palestine and religion and Obama/Not Obama later.
(feel free to also use this as an open thread about student loan debt :)
