As
predicted, House Democrats attempted to replace the House Republicans' mini spending bill for some national parks on the floor Wednesday evening with the Senate's clean continuing resolution.
As predicted, none of those supposedly moderate Republicans who want a vote on a simple continuing resolution voted with Democrats to make it happen.
Sure enough, procedural vote to kill Dem effort to bring clean CR to a vote succeeds. Mod Rs sticking w/leadership

This was their best opportunity to bring this shutdown to an end. Not a single one of them attempted to do it.
The House passed their mini bills for DC operations (voice vote), national parks (252-173), NIH (254-171). They will take up partially funding some veterans benefits and the National Guard Thursday. Maybe tomorrow the supposedly revolting moderates will make their move.
Join Daily Kos and the DCCC to tell John Boehner: End this shutdown now.
