Good morning, MOTlies!
Good Morning Kossacks and Welcome to Morning Open Thread (MOT)
We're known as the MOTley Crew and you can find us here every morning at 7:00 am Eastern (and perhaps sometimes earlier!). Feel free to volunteer to take a day - permanently or just once in awhile. With the Auto Publish feature you can set it and forget it. Sometimes the diarist du jour shows up much later: that's the beauty of Open Thread...it carries on without you! Volunteer in the comment threads.
Click on the MOT - Morning Open Thread ♥ if you'd like us to show up in your stream.
So, I recently saw a news story about reading and recording someone's dreams. This sets me to wondering, if this is possible for dreams, how about waking thoughts? And how about actually controlling someone's thoughts?
On one hand, my dreams are quite vivid and interesting, at least to me. I'd like to see some of them over again! On the other hand, the thought of someone else seeing what is going on inside my head or hi-jacking my brain is serious freak-out territory. I just might start wrapping my head in tinfoil.
The following links are for two short videos about the science on recording dreams and controlling thoughts. They autoplay, and I couldn't figure out how to turn that off for embedding, hence just links:
I am travelling today, and connection will be spotty. I'll catch up when I can.
