The new Republican Plan is to vote for a super-committee to determine the ransom to be paid to raise the debt ceiling.
The next move for House Republicans in the government shutdown/debt ceiling fight is asking for a bicameral, bipartisan committee to hash out a deal to raise the debt ceiling, in exchange for spending reforms. A similar group created by the 2011 Budget Control Act failed to craft a long-term deficit reduction deal that both sides found desirable.
So think of this as a zombie supercommittee.

But a new supercommittee is the centerpiece of the GOP's latest effort to bring President Obama to the negotiating table. Any deal would also presumably re-open the government shutdown, though that isn't a guarantee.
TPM: House GOP's Next Move: ZOMBIE SUPERCOMMITTEE!
No ransom. No negotiations. No Super-Committee.
The only way to end this is either unconditional surrender by enough Republicans in the House (which may not happen) or default and another Great Recession. I think default is more likely. There will be great pain, but Republicans will not govern again for at least a generation.
This is a battle for the existence of the United States and its form of government. Like the Civil War, some fights cannot be avoided. People have died for this nation. We all may suffer economically to protect what is left of our democracy.
This is President Obama's Lincoln moment.
No negotiations with economic terrorists!
Update I: Trix below has a tweet from a conservative reporter saying it is a "working group" that they are proposing. A super-commmittee by any other name stinks the same. No working groups to determine ransom. No negotiations!
Update II: From Terre in the comments. TPM has the bill here
