Note to “Millennials”
Boom
I‘m a Boomer, and I’ve been reading a bit about how it’s all our fault. OK, you’re right we should have done better. We did a little though, google: civil rights, summer of love, Vietnam war protest, or Earth Day. Yeah, we had it all, “booming” economy, sexual revolution (snicker), drugs and Good Rock and Roll. We had cheap gas, big motors and we had sexism that was so entrenched it was almost religion. (sex was re-invented in France in 1944, we were unfamiliar with the new technology) We also had optimism, forgive us for that. We were after all, almost children.

Slaughter House 6
What happened? The best parable I can come up with is a butchery I visited as a teen. The cattle came to the place of their end from a nice wide lot, the side fences gradually narrowed and the reaper (in this case a very well fed gent with a .22 rifle) was waiting just past the point where each victim was forced walk alone. The ones behind just kept pushing.
Virgins
I’ve heard that the Sioux Tribes had a saying “we don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”. You guys got screwed, but not as bad as the Sioux. Every generation has rebelled, good luck, watch out for the chute. (Pink Floyd: Welcome to the machine)
Revolution
You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan

Maybe not alright exactly, John.
Challenge accepted?
Watch out which lies you believe, better yet, don’t believe any. Blow up your television. Vote, learn, plan and organize. Maybe you can change the world, it needs it. Vote first, it might not matter, but if it obviously doesn’t matter you got yourself a rallying cry right there. If you can make the world better, go big. We wanted to save the world, because of us or despite us, it's still here. Your turn.
If you sell out, get lazy or hope for someone else to fix it, you lose too. Above all, don’t be dicks about it.
