Section 4 of the Fourteenth Amendment talks about "the Public Debt Clause." The validity shall not be questioned. Congress at this writing seems unable to function.
Nowhere in the amendment do I read punishment for the President if he declared an emergency.
The President should go on National television and announce he and he alone has raised
the debt ceiling. He has re-opened the Government. He needs to lead. He needs to lead right now!
The House will call for impeachment and will win. The Senate will not even bring up the
idea. Our President stays in office.
I have never seen such racism and open hatred of a president in my 64 years,(Thursday) you can send money to your favorite charity for my Birthday; right?
I must have 3 maybe 4 readers.
Going back to the subject I have seen several presidents. I know a bit about History.
Andrew Jackson and Andrew Johnson come to mind  as very unpopular.
The Confederacy is back. The flag was flown proudly in front of our White House.
Mad Lunatics have Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin joining to openly insult our President.
This Country is broken, Our congress is broken, Thursday I turn 64 and our Country becomes another nation breaking apart. Forgive me if I don't celebrate.
" God wants us to shake ourselves,
spread our  pinions, and then lift
off and soar and rise, and rise
toward the confident and the good
and the beautiful. Rise towards the
compassionate and the gentle and the
caring. Rise to become what God
intends us to be-Eagles
not chickens.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
