Yup, yet another SNLC poll diary, i.e. 3CM's usual lazy default option for lack of another idea (although the idiot Boy Scouts in Utah messing up ancient geology comes pretty close as far as a specific loser topic goes). To compound his laziness, self didn't even think about the voting options. Rather, I've brazenly taken them from this blog entry by Ana Marie Cox (founder of the blog Wonkette) from The Guardian's "Comment is free" blog. You'll note that one name is missing from the poll, who should be there, but there's a reason that AMC puts the junior TX idiot senator in her "Winners" column. More below the flip.....
Of course, Cruz is an arrogant, narcissistic, ignorant jerk by nature. However, remember that this is America, where intellect and a grasp of the issues counts for damn little in politics, especially on the Republican side. Lack of intellectual heft doesn't make you a loser in America, particularly now. Sadly, if anything, being a charismatic, ignorant demagogue goes much further, as AMC noted:
"Cruz is laughing in that whiny way of his all the way to the campaign war chest. He raised over $1m in the third quarter that ended 1 October, before the shutdown, half of it through the new "Ted Cruz Victory Committee" formed last year specifically to benefit from Cruz's "defund Obamacare" petition."
So how much more damage will Ted Cruz wreak on the country before he runs for the Repuke POTUS nomination in 2016? Read Michael Tomasky at
The Daily Beast here for more about the appaling possibility, however minimal, of a President Cruz. Texas now has the distinction of inflicting on America in recent years both America's worst Senator and dumbest Congressman, not to mention the worst President in recent decades. But on the second point, guess what; in 12 months and 3 weeks, Gohmert will still be America's dumbest Congressman. It would be nice to see Gohmert become America's dumbest
ex-Congressman next November. But I don't see his district voting him out of his seat next year, do you?
In fact, I don't really see any Tea Party Congressbigot being shown the door next year. After all, 'Amurrikans' think, everybody in Congress sucks - just not my Congresscritter. And for DKers who are gloating that big business can't control the Tea Party monster that they funded and unleashed, David Weigel at Slate has a few words for you. It would be very nice if American voters showed some long-term memory next November, and simply showed up in enough numbers to kick the brats out. Would love to be wrong, but I don't think so, given that it'll be a mid-term election.
13 months is a long time in politics, long enough for fortunes to turn quickly, as has been the case on both sides. If you'd asked me last year (not that you did, of course) if I thought the Tea Party would ruin their brand even further than the mega-awful it already is, I would have said no. But amazingly enough, thanks to the last several weeks or so, they did. Whether it was worth $24 billion in destroyed American capital....well, we shall see.
One would think that given the recent local sports news, 3CM might lighten up just a tad, ya know. Perhaps he should, except that he doesn't know how (typical loser, that 3CM). With that, happy voting in the poll, and time for the usual SNLC protocol, namely your loser stories of the week.....
