Our tenth meetup. Our third in Pasadena, at our favorite Thai restaurant. Our table in the usual place. The faithful (a couple of us had previous commitments) in attendance. Your diarist taking the pictures again.
From the left, clockwise: chiwere, philipmerrill, Shockwave, Ducktape, 714Day, gmats, susans, otoelbc.
The obligatory food pr0n. These are the coconut shrimp I raved about when I wrote about my reconnaissance trip before we rolled out the red carpet for navajo, Meteor Blades and the Azazello family in June.
I was too busy enjoying myself to remember to take pictures of any more food this time, and I think you've seen most of what we've had in the two previous diaries about this particular venue.
So to the people.
susans and otoelbc.
chiwere and philipmerrill.
Shockwave and Ducktape.
714Day and gmats.
philipmerrill, Shockwave, Ducktape and your diarist (because 714Day insisted there had to be a picture of me in this diary).
We discussed lots of things, particularly the software issues that are plaguing implementation of the Affordable Care Act and why only nine people showed up on this beautifully sunny October afternoon, and we came up with some solutions about the latter issue that we'll be unveiling before our next event, which will be Sunday, November 17 at 2 PM, venue yet to be determined. My Top Comments diary tonight will begin to ask the questions we think will help us with our turnout issues.
