Hi Evraybody. How was your weekend? Mine was soooo busy but I did get a lot done and had fun too. Most of the weekend was spent moving my ma from temp to permanent digs in the assisted living place. The less said about that the better. It's ongoing. Saturday night I went to a party at a coolio art gallery owned by an alum of the same high school that I went to, in an international (mostly American) school in Asia. There was a reunion that I enjoyed because (a) I only actually knew two people, the rest being slightly younger than me, so I didn't mind seeing them, and (b) the experiences we shared as "third culture kids" cannot be shared with people who are not such. Plus we all had a blast in our high school, myself included, though I hated much of it and have blocked most of it out. Plus the eats -- dim sum from Oakland's Chinatown -- were fantastic, so was the art, and we all looked great!
I heard through the grapevine, and I don't think she'd mind my repeating it, that our pal crose's knee surgery went well, that she might be home from the rehab place even as we type, and she's getting help with chores and doggie care. Yay! Get well soon, crose, and get back online ASAP -- we miss you! (like she can read this, oh well.)
On to the craigyferg. Tonight in a re-run from Sep. 3, he has on Jay Leno and comedienne Cameron Esposito. Do you think he'll tell a joke stolen from Jay Leno? Here's what you might have missed last Friday:
Also you might have missed fellow venthooligan's screamingly disgusting funny Animal Nuz 170. I was so busy I didn't see it til this morning and I'm still smiling! and retching! Thank you ericle!
