I like Salon. They're a pretty good news source, and a great opinion source. I don't always agree with them, but they're interesting and provocative--they make me think.
Salon has routinely published articles arguing against unpaid internships. (Interestingly, I noticed while looking into this, they were mostly written by other newssources: Bloomberg, ProPublica, etc.) It even has its own topic page!
However, if you go to their jobs page, as I did in my quest for full time employment, you'll notice that "Salon offers unpaid internships throughout the year in our New York offices."
You'll even notice that "Interns are an important part of Salon's daily editorial operations!"
So, what gives? Salon
