It's not "Food Stamps" anymore, people.
Look at this. Not even the Great Orange Satan can stop using the term "Food Stamps." This action alert greeted me at the door tonight:
But we haven't had food stamps at the federal level since 2008 and the move to EBT started long before that.
The 2008 farm bill renamed the Food Stamp Program to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (as of October 2008), and replaced all references to "stamp" or "coupon" in federal law to "card" or "EBT."
Would it kill you to say "nutrition assistance" instead of "food stamps"?
How many years should it take to stop calling something something it isn't anymore?
Why would we use a term that's been feverishly latched onto by wing nuts and racists when it's not even accurate?
