There are bad movies, there are movies that are so bad that they're funny, and then there are awful movies.
Monday!
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
We have split up the publishing duties, but we welcome everyone in IAN to do daily diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!
If you'd like to be part of the Itzl Alert Network, please leave a comment asking to join, or send us a message asking to join. We'd love to have you. The bigger our network, the less likely someone will be stranded all alone.
The two worst movies that I ever saw were "Rabbit Test" and "Transylvania 6-5000." I think I saw them both with boyfriends. Clearly, they had terrible taste in movies. All these years later, the sheer awful-ness of these movies sticks with me.
OK, I have found THE WORST MOVIE EVER, thanks to my son =)
For your viewing pleasure, The Nostalgia Critic reviews "The Room," written, produced, directed by, and starring...Tommy Wiseau.
I did not see this movie. I do not WANT to see this movie, ever. My brain cells might congeal if I struggled to find some possible cohesion or rational thought in this movie. The review, however, is vastly amusing and I watched the whole thing. And laughed all the way through =) I really recommend watching it, if you can and if you have the time.
I googled Mr. Wiseau, mostly in the hope of finding a clue to his peculiar accent, and found that he had a show! The Tommy Wi-Show!! Get it? Hahaha! Ack. He gets abducted by aliens and plays video games. Yes. He really does. Mr. Wiseau is an American. Huh. And apparently "a cult film actor," with which I take umbrage. No, no, no. "The Room" is not a cult film. It is spectacularly awful.
THIS is a cult film:
Taste in movies is, of course, subjective. DS and I loved "MegaShark vs. Crocasaurus" and laughed through nearly the whole movie. DH saw part of it and loathed it. He couldn't see the humor, just the bad acting and ridiculous fake shark. And those two things are precisely the reason DS and I giggled and chortled throughout the movie. Except for the sad part.
