To me, Lou Reed was an era that I loved...combination of visual art and music, beginnings of punk, poetry in pop music, realities not often openly discussed.
Lou was one of those that moved the 1968's ahead, and made it a special time. His music lasted all these years and I believe will last for many more.
This clip was recorded at an obscure concert on Long Island, Lou's childhood home, in 1972. It was done for a local radio station after the band's return from a European tour and there were maybe 50 people in the audience...

Lou is playing an Epiphone, either a Casino or a Riviera...sounds more like a Casino to me ( I own one).
Thanks, Lou Reed, for doing all you did. Hope you loved the ride...it was great having you around.
