We're all fed up with the spam diaries and trolls. So I am delighted to present an example of the new policy working beautifully!!

One side...

The other side...
My car
My car, painted by brand-new Kossack hottiemom24!

I wrote a diary on the Douglas County school board elections the other day. It was in addition to the previous one about the robocall from (ick) Michelle Malkin. In both diaries, I mentioned seeing cars painted with the names of four candidates and check marks. I wasn't sure at first if those were the baddies whose "reforms" have resulted in our losing our #1 rankings, or the good guys. After the robocall, and a huge influx of fear-mongering, rabble-rousing junk mail screeching about "TEH UNION!!!!," I knew that they were the good guys.

I didn't know how to paint my car, though. I'd thrown out the soap crayons about three months ago. And then....

BADA-BOOM BADA-BING!!!!

Hottiemom24 posted a comment on my diary, saying, "The painted cars are ours!!" She had seen my diary on an FB group's page and rushed over to comment. We met this morning in a Target parking lot, and the result is above :)

Tomorrow, there will be rallies in Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Parker, and Lone Tree. I'll be there. Hope that other Douglas County Kossacks can join us!

Note: This is one of the times when my actual voter registration comes in handy. I know from canvassing for OFA that there are NO Democrats in my vicinity. NONE. There are a few a half-mile away :) I suggested that hottiemom24 paint that on my car. Might even dupe some "real" Republicans. Except I just remembered that there are three Obama stickers on it =) Ooops.

10:11 PM PT: Information for tomorrow, from hottiemom24:

ROLLING RALLY and ROAR- Saturday, NOV. 2nd! Rally Moms invite you to show your spirit for: Chase, Hodges, Keim and Scholting one more time. We have enjoyed getting to know so many of you and would love to stand united one more time to get this vote done. We started this with 4 days of rallies, and we want to end it with 4 rallies on one day.

Rolling- we will be traveling from one destination to the next in our painted cars. Rally- we will be standing on corners with signs displaying CHKS and waving to passing traffic. ROAR- we will have canvasing materials with us so you can make a difference in this election by talking to others. The rallies are so much fun and give us all energy, but the way we are going to win this election is through canvasing. So please, come to one or all of our stops, rally with us for 20 min, and pick up a canvasing packet- it is truly the best way to really make an impact and help Chase, Hodges, Keim and Scholting win!

Details below:

We will start in Highlands Ranch and work our way to Parker.

Rally 1: Highlands Ranch: 11:00-11:45am. Rally Location: The corners of Broadway and Highlands Ranch Parkway. Park in in the Safeway parking lot.

Rally 2: Lone Tree: 12:00-12:45pm. Rally Location: The corners of Lincoln and Quebec. Park in the shopping plaza on the northeast corner- I believe there is a post office there and a Walgreens.

Rally 3: Castle Rock: 1:00-1:45pm. Rally Location: Along Founder's Parkway. Park in the Home Depot parking lot- off Founders and near I-25.

Rally 4: Parker: 2:00-2:45pm. Rally Location: The corners of Parker Road and E Main Street. Park at O'Brien Park (10795 Victorian Drive) - NE corner of Parker Road and E. Main Street.

We hope you can make it. We will parade from one location to the next. Bring your signs and car markers and get ready to "hit the streets." Let's stand, drive and ROAR together one more time to encourage those that have not voted yet to GET THEIR VOTE IN for CHKS! Thank you and please ask friends of CHKS to join us. This is it! We are almost to November!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
