Recently, the spacecraft "Voyager" left our solar system, and entered interstellar space. It was launched in 1977, and it carries very important cargo. Possibly the most important, being an item called "The Golden Record."
On this Golden Record, are contained, amongst other things, the following:
A Drawing of a Silhouette of a Male and a Pregnant Female
Illustrations of our DNA Structure
A Demonstration of Eating, Licking and Drinking
Images of Olympic Sprinters
Photographs of The Taj Mahal (as well as cityscapes from around the world)
Images of The Golden Gate Bridge
A Page from a Book
A Greeting from 6-year-old Nick Sagan (son of Carl)
A Whale Greeting Recording
The Sound of a Kiss
The Sound of Human Brain Waves
And, most importantly to me, a selection of music from all over the world. 27 in all. The full list is here. Three quarters of the disc is music. Youtube user "lunathicka" has compiled most of this music into 24 separate video clips.
Here they are. 23 of those 27 Voyager Golden Disc musical selections, which have just recently left our solar system, headed out into infinite space:
So, what music do you wish was included?
