What a charmer, Rob Ford. The Toronto Star released a video this morning wherein Toronto's crack-smoking mayor, Rob Ford, is taped in full rant mode, threatening some unknown entity with murder.

I’m gonna kill that fucking guy. I’m telling you, it’s first-degree murder. I’ll rip his fucking throat out. I’ll poke his eyes out. I’ll make sure that motherfucker’s dead.
The second half of the posted video fully transcribes Ford's meltdown.

Keep in mind that Stable Mable here just this past week finally admitted to smoking crack after denying it for months while an investigation swirled around him.

Once again, Ford had to go full-on damage control and apologize for the incident immediately after the Toronto Star released it.

The Toronto Star just released a video that I was very, very inebriated.

All I can say is, again, I’ve made mistakes. I just wanted to come out and tell you I saw a video. It’s extremely embarrassing. The whole world’s going to see it. You know what? I don’t have a problem with that.

I hope none of you have ever or will ever be in that state. Obviously, I was extremely, extremely inebriated.

Why, yes, Rob, the video is extremely embarrassing. What is even more embarrassing is the fact that your cadre of unshaken conservative supporters remains steadfastly behind you even though it is clear that rehab is calling and you refuse to pick up.
A telephone poll by Forum Research conducted on Monday says Scarborough continues to show unwavering support with 55 per cent of those surveyed saying they approve of the job Ford is doing as Mayor of Toronto, up one per cent from a previous poll conducted on Oct. 31.
Canadians have (rightly) long snickered at our loutish politicians and their screwy ideologies. So it's only fair that we be given a turn to point at this mayor of your most populous city with our collective jaws dropped. The fact that his poll numbers ticked up a notch after the crack-smoking admission leaves your southern neighbors wondering if your right wingers are even more oblivious than ours.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
