So recently I saw the J.J. Abrams Star Trek reboot with my doggy friend and I have to admit that I really didn't hate it as much as I thought I would (alternate time lines are just the laziest way of excusing continuity errors there is).
That said Picard, even though he was probably the best Captain in the Star Trek Universe (next to Sulu), was never my favorite because Next Generation was so predictable and moralizing that I just didn't get into it as much as TOS or even DS9 (where I really enjoyed the Klingon succession plot) that was a total ripoff of Babylon 5 which was a much more interesting show until it went off the rails after Sheridan's destruction of Z'ha'dum.
But Jean-Luc, I mean Patrick Stewart, is a trained Shakespearean actor, what's he whoring tonight?
Daniel Lieberman's nickname is 'The Barefoot Professor' because he's a marathon running specialist in the paleo-anthropology of human locomotion. I suppose it would be too much to expect Stephen to ask him about the Denisovans, a species as genetically similar to Modern Humans as Neanderthals and as genetically different too, who may once have ranged from the Siberian Steppe to Australia.
Now is the time to get your volunteer licks in for next week! Our all new guests are-
The Daily Show
The Colbert Report
Every day you don't step up is another day of vile calumny and gossip from yours truly. If I might go so far as to suggest a day, Wednesday has guests that I have no particular empathy with.
It's not at all hard, you don't have to make it even this complicated.
