Make love, not war ...
In election after election (after election), Republicans are losing because women are voting for Democrats. The latest example is the governor's race in Virginia, where Terry McAuliffe beat Ken Cuccinelli "by only 2.5 percent, but won by nine percentage points among women ... single women by a staggering 42 percentage points."
But fear not, Republican Party, the answer to your womanly woes is now just a hefty retainer fee away:
Ms. Gage, Ashley O’Connor and Christine Matthews this week are opening what appears to be the first Republican firm aimed specially at wooing female voters. [...]
Given Democrats’ repeated and successful efforts to portray Republicans as hostile to women, Ms. Gage and two other consultants are starting a political strategy firm to help the party’s candidates better tailor their messages to women.
Gage, O'Connor and Matthews should note that it would be more accurate to say "given Republicans' repeated and successful efforts to portray Republicans as hostile to women." Because it would certainly be easier to "better tailor their messages to women" if Republicans weren't, you know, so freaking hostile to women.
