Yesterday, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus announced that he was inviting Democrats to attend a press conference at which they could explain why they support Obamacare. Shockingly, no Democrats bothered to respond to his bizarre offer, let alone accept it.
Today, he held the press conference. This was the scene, as tweeted by none other than the boy genius chairman of the RNC himself:
According to Reince, the fact that no Democrats showed up to his press conference proves that they don't actually want to be associated with Obamacare, which makes total sense, because of course you would expect Democrats to flock to a press event staged by the leader of the GOP.
Of course, if we're going to stoop to Reince's level of political theater, then it should be fair to point out that the one enduring image from his little event was of the Republican Party's chairman standing in front of a sign saying that he is "EAGER AND PROUD TO RUN ON OBAMACARE IN 2014," which pretty much confirms everything that Ted Cruz acolytes have been thinking about the RNC all along.
