Yesterday, after reporting on my two online applications and one telephone application progress, I decided to try another online application and also printed out a paper application (thanks to agkhalil123).

I discovered something that is not mentioned on the healthcare.gov website - sometimes the format of your answers is not accepted, but you wouldn't know unless you guessed and changed it. It asked me how many hours a week I work. I work 37.75 hours per week. When I changed that to a whole number, voila! - I was able to move past that section and get to the next part which again told me the system was temporarily down and to try again in 30 minutes.

So, now I'm not sure how many of the blank pages encountered are due to unaccepted responses. On my other online applications I am unable to go back and edit my applications, which is why I start new ones.

In the end, only one will be put through and confirmed with my sign-off. I may be creating several applications, but none of them have allowed me to enroll and confirm. I will only do that once.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from your hotlist?
Are you sure you want to remove your recommendation? You can only recommend a diary once, so you will not be able to re-recommend it afterwards.
Rescue this diary, and add a note:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from Rescue?
Choose where to republish this diary. The diary will be added to the queue for that group. Publish it from the queue to make it appear.

You must be a member of a group to use this feature.

Add a quick update to your diary without changing the diary itself:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary?
(The diary will be removed from the site and returned to your drafts for further editing.)
(The diary will be removed.)
Are you sure you want to save these changes to the published diary?

What kind of programmer doesn't check his inputs from a user-submitted form to make sure they're in the right format?

Seriously, where did they find these contractors - Haliburton?!

  •  I've been stuck at "set" for two weeks now (0+ / 0-)

Finally got the application submitted and got our eligibility letter.  Now we have to set how much of that we want to use but when I hit the button to set it at 100%, (or even when I try a smaller amount and click "use this amount") I still get an error message.  The people on line can't get past it either so I've been waiting for two weeks to get a call back from Tech Support.   I called again this morning asking if there was a direct line there and was told no, but I'm still showing up on the to-be-called list.  So close but yet so far.   I want to make the December 15 deadline but right now I don't know.
