We made a 15 pound turkey this year in the nesco. Anyways, after the bird finished cooking, I deboned the turkey, added the bones, a can of beer, and some water and let the nesco simmer all night long.
Few carrots, some celery, dried onion, garlic power, pinch of mexican oregeno, dash of thyme, 3-4 dried mushrooms. A half dozen pepper corns, with a like amount of cumin/corriander seeds got ground up in the mortor and pestle got added in.
I strained it off, and am now reducing the liquid on the stove.
Georgia the boxer is enjoying the leftovers from the small strainer with no bones.
So does anybody have any ideas of what to make with the turkey stock? (tastes like soup)
