The GOP and their xtian followers who put their God and beliefs above all else didn't even listen to their old President Bush-Leave No Child Behind missive!

Our kids are not smarter now! Like the GOP Trickle Down Riches philosophy failed so did their xtian education tips.

School Science Lesson Claims Gravity Was Created By God

In one such part of the lesson, students are told that “people who do not believe in God” cannot explain gravity.

I'm thinking the main reason GOPpers want the future generations dumber is so they have more 'slave' labor down the pike to keep the Corporatists running the planet.

Poor Marks For U.S. Education System

The study said that "South Korea and Japan sit firmly at the
head of the class."

"Germany, with its strong educational and intellectual tradition, occupies 19th place out of the 24 nations," just behind the United States in 18th place.

The United States, however, finished low in each test and in adult literacy.

But, can't blame the kids if the teachers are using thousands year old book to learn and study from.

The Republican xtian parents must be so proud....

This is a Sad and Mad time to be an American.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

you on what their "motive" is. Working at a University, I have witnessed, first hand, the performance of our international students from these countries vs. our American educated youth. They have surpassed our students on most levels.

and I have seen over the years the continual dumbing down in action while more and more Corporate Pimps move in and set up shop in the names of "education" and "research". Moreover, living in the South is having a front row seat to the blatant brainwashing going on among the baggers and assorted white trash. Thanks for reminding the rest of the planet what teapublicans do.

party of unfair, this is not a Republican document, and it may not even be true.

According to the source of this, the Huffington Post, it's something that has been posted online, and it's from an unnamed Christian school. At the time of the HP article was posted, they weren't sure if it is even real test.

If you want to prove the GOPers want to dumb down America there's plenty of proof out there, so why use some viral web post that could turn out to be a hoax?

on the right, of course, decided how to manipulate people to their advantage.  We have a long way to go to catch up and clean up what they've done and are still doing to us.

I have a sister who is a Fox only viewer and believes absolutely nothing and no one else.  When I told my brother she would never buy a Jeep because they're now made in China, he summed it up beautifully:  "That's so sad."

We need to stop the right wing noise machine or propaganda machine or whatever you want to call it if we are going to wrestle our country back from the corporatists, as you call them, who are now running the show.  How have we let it get to this point - for profit news, for profit health care, for profit prison system, for profit education, rampant and out of control greed.  Good grief - this is madness.

Obviously I have strong deep feelings, as do most of us here.

The GOP will destroy anything they can't own.
