I was getting some sun ,
the only other person there was a college aged woman ,
a young man kept popping up atop the cliff overlooking the cove ,
he kept popping up looking at her and then going ,
it happened over and over ,
75 - 100 feet away from her ,
he reminded me of a cat stalking a bird ,
I don't know what was in his mind ,
I didn't know if she had noticed ,
there was no indication that I noticed ,
it was getting latter on in the day ,
the temperature was going down and the wind was picking up ,
I would have packed up and gone
but I thought because of the odd behavior I should stick around until she goes ,
I glanced over and saw that she had put on a shirt and was sitting on a rock ,
she had a large pad of paper on her lap and was writing ,
I thought she was getting ready to go ,
I gathered up my things and started to leave ,
when I got closer I noticed that she was only wearing the shirt ,
I went over to her and asked if she would like to go to lighthouse point and fly a stunt kite ,
I was hoping to get her to leave the cove and not leave her alone ,
she wasn't interested ,
I didn't tell her I feared that something was up ,
I went up the trail to my bicycle ,
rode around to the other side of the cove and looked around for the guy ,
I went to the edge and looked into the cove to see if anything was going on ,
I saw her and she saw me ,
as I was riding along toward lighthouse point she passed me in a car ,
she had left a few minutes after I did .
A few days latter she showed back up at the beach with two friends ,
she had a wet suit that was much to large for her ,
she put it on and went for a small swim with her friends ,
they were all acting very young splashing around ,
she came over and invited me to join in ,
the water is to cold for me sans a wet suit ,
and I wasn't interested in her except for her safety ,
so I didn't join in .
I don't think I've ever seen her again .
If I have I didn't recognize her .

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
