Who's next? Which school is next? Mall? Recreational Area? Theater? Parking lot? And on and on and on.
A Michael Moore tweet was read to me today while I was driving. Something about the U.S. being the only country that consistently has these shootings.
I got to thinking... maybe it's the indifference of the politicians that signals to those on or near the edge to just go forward- "What the heck"- with whatever anger is driving them.
I deal with the mental health issue quite a bit in the book. For one, I used to work with severely disturbed people. And second, it's an obligation to counter the NRA's claim- "We don't have a problem with guns... we have a problem with our mentally ill." 5-10% of gun homicides are committed by someone suffering mental illness. What about the other 90-95%?
