This is a serious question. I am a newly settled Michigander, helped make the 10 point blowout for Obama last year, and am looking forward to installing Mark Schauer in the governor's mansion, and putting Gary Peters into the Senate.
But right now, I want to keep the most recent attack on women and trans* men in Michigan from ever taking effect. I know that a ballot initiative or referendum ought to keep it from taking effect until next November when we can almost certainly win the popular vote. But how do we get that to happen? I haven't seen any groups circulating a petition yet, though I know Gretchen Whitmer and the ACLU should be on the case. Does anyone know of any plans to start a petition drive(get the language approved and start circulating?) Or do you know of any other groups working on getting this going?
Thanks!
