The Post has a story saying "President Obama Misspoke when he said
Snowden has been indicted"
http://www.washingtonpost.com/...
President Obama said at a press conference Friday that National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden “is under indictment.”
and
If Snowden had been indicted, that would have meant that the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia had taken the case against Snowden to a grand jury, which has the power to return an indictment. Such an indictment would have been under seal if that had happened. Therefore, the law enforcement official said, it was "incorrect" of Obama to say that Snowden had been indicted.
Now what do they mean when they say incorrect?
Do they mean it was "Factually wrong" or "A breach of Protocol"
The comments on the post page are as usual hysterical, but did Obama leak
news of a secret indictment of a leaker of secrets?
If it's a sealed indictment, why? Do they think Snowden has any more incentive
to come to the US if the indictment is sealed?
They may as well, unseal it and have the debate over what it was and is.
