Is that enough information for Democrats to reject fossil fuels once and for all? And certainly that should be enough for the Obama administration to deny the Keystone pipeline and condemn sucking oil out of dirt in the disgusting Canadian tar sands!
Mr Obama and Mr Kerry have kids. Aren't they worried that their kids will be disgusted with them for not doing something big when they had the chance?
Every year that passes with the status quo continuing under a Democratic administration, with no bankers going to jail, with no big campaign to stop catastrophic climate change, I get angrier and angrier. I am tired of the pittance tossed by Establishment Democrats. And the Third Way idiots can go to hell. Or are we already there thanks to them?
That number is double what many governments agree is the threshold for dangerous warming. Aside from dramatic environmental shifts like melting sea ice, many of the ills of the modern world -- starvation, poverty, war and disease -- are likely to get worse as the planet warms.
"4C would likely be catastrophic rather than simply dangerous," lead researcher Steven Sherwood told the Guardian. "For example, it would make life difficult, if not impossible, in much of the tropics, and would guarantee the eventual melting of the Greenland ice sheet and some of the Antarctic ice sheet."
"If this isn't an alarm bell, then I don't know what one is. If ever there were an issue that demanded greater cooperation, partnership, and committed diplomacy, this is it," U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said after the IPCC report was released.

OK, John Kerry, please put action into words and tell your boss to do the same. Enough is enough with the talk: deny the Keystone XL pipeline and condemn tar sands. And while you're at it, condemn all fossil fuel based energy because it is leading us to Hell on Earth. Time is running out for the status quo and with
solar energy is competitive with fossil fuels, there's no excuse anymore! Do this or lose more elections as more and more people decide to vote "None of the above" and decide both political parties are utterly corrupt.
Here's another climate scientist saying 4 degree increase being catastrophic, and providing graphic detail of the consequences of more status quo.
Professor Kevin Anderson, director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change in Britain, was quoted in The Scotsman ahead of the 2009 Copenhagen conference saying the consequences were ‘‘terrifying’’.
‘‘For humanity it’s a matter of life or death ... we will not make all human beings extinct, as a few people with the right sort of resources may put themselves in the right parts of the world and survive. But I think it’s extremely unlikely that we wouldn’t have mass death at 4 degrees.
‘‘If you have got a population of 9 billion by 2050 and you hit 4 degrees, 5 degrees or 6 degrees, you might
