Welcome to Thursday Coffee Hour. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. I lived in Denver for a couple of years and snow was frequent. When I lived North of Chicago I got quite used to lots of snow. Southern Indiana got its fair share when I lived there for six years as caregiver to my Mom. When Mom's health got to bad for her to go out especially in the snow I would go out with my camera and take pictures for her. I now live in North Carolina where snow is a rare event and rarely lasts long. Still I do enjoy getting out into the crisp air with my camera. These pictures are mainly Indiana and a few of North Carolina. This is my kind of winter wonderland. One where you can grab a nice hot cup of tea and enjoy it from the comfort of inside.
Indiana
There was nothing like digging out my car to go to work.
Unless of course it was digging out Mom's car.
I used to sit in my Dad's office and watch the snow while working on my computer.
I used to pay kids to shovel in order to keep my stubborn Mom from trying to shovel the snow.
Mom's statues and bird feeders got covered.
Mom loved the look of snow on her fir trees.
During one ice storm Mom asked me to take pictures since her health wouldn't let her go out.
Occasionally the snow presented some very interesting photo opportunities.
Of course snow here in North Carolina is pretty wimpy when you have lived in Denver and Chicago.
