An e-mail came this New Year's Day offering a free bumper sticker which simply read "DEMS 2014". I sincerely hope the DCCC has plans to hit harder than that.  Reminding us of what we will be finally freeing ourselves from would seem to appeal way more than the mere choice of DEMS (which frankly says nothing in my humble and sincere opinion, although they can count on my vote).

The republican take-over of the House was a stampede into power through an attack ad campaign of unconscionable sexism in which the first woman Speaker, Nancy Pelosi's name was gratuitously inserted in most every attack ad against incumbents that year--using her as a political tackle dummy for no other apparent reason than she is a she--a Nancy. It was the same tactic used against the Affordable Health Care Act where it became "Obama Care" to never let anyone forget its handy association with the man some won't extend the honor of calling "President". If there is a "war on women", then it seems more than fair to let history reflect Speaker Pelosi as perhaps its most notable yet under acknowledged casualty.

With our first African-American president much has been said of racial politics--some of which demands a closer look because it's so easy to call racism and do nothing instead of questioning such an odd totality of contrarianism in the opposition. Is it just racism? Or could it be a criminally conspiratorial assault on American democracy given the extortion tactics used to "get stuff" as if a mob of domestic enemies instead of legislators of different leanings in the same government? What do criminals (or those under their thumb) care of being called racists, when accepting that tag gives them cover to openly and gravely overstep the lines between politics and crime? The criminal will live just fine with the tag of racist if that's the only price of usurped power and extorted funds.

But how comparatively little has been said about sexism or gender politics given the way Nancy Pelosi was knocked around in 2010--ad after ad charging that so and so "voted with Nancy Pelosi" on this issue or that as if Nancy Pelosi was some kind of Cathy McMorris Rodgers head growing out of John Boehner's neck, where Pelosi actually had a personal hand in every democratic incumbent's procedural vote. The voice of Limbaugh is detectable in that demonification campaign to "get that woman out of that man's job" if one listens closely enough.

John Boehner has said that ObamaCare needs to be scrapped.  As the least productive Speaker in living memory who has openly admitted that his motivation is not to legislate--make or alter laws and regulations--but to "repeal laws", it would seem that if anything or anyone needs "scrapping" it is him. Who else but a criminal, a reckless fool or a fearful acquiescer to criminal mob manipulation would make it their ideological imperative to just repeal (remove) laws willy nilly when there are reasons--good and time-validated reasons why laws exist in the first place i.e. because the actions and/or misdeeds of Americans have made them so. If you're a white collar criminal, a John Boehner is what you want as Speaker of the House and third in line for the Presidency should the worst befall the POTUS and his VP.

Scrapping Boehner is a no-brainer 2014.

Darrel Issa has wasted millions on witch-hunts in which he has leaked sensitive information and partial transcripts implying wrong-doing with exonerating passages purposely left out time and again to apparently inflate his own sense of importance. He is not as much an "oversight Committee Chairman" as he is a full time partisan liar--yes, just plain liar--feeding sensationalist charges to gullible reporters creating distractions which have greatly interfered with the country's progress. This was bad enough before there was an industrialized partisan media complex when Rep. Dan Burton was in the position Issa now occupies during the last Democratic administration under Bill Clinton where Burton waged an obsessive vendetta on the Clintons . But twenty years later much of the country has been "compartmentalized" into a an almost impenetrable media bubble where lies and innuendos are reported as "news" and "beliefs" are born. And beliefs tend to take on lives of their own.

Even if exonerating truths somehow do manage to trickle through any holes in that media bubble, the "belief" still rules and there are people in industrial competition with each other (FOX) for position and perks to tweak or twerk the "belief" into some other fabrication to keep it alive in that sadly huge demographic of the fearful and arguably anti-social inside the right wing bubble. When socialism doesn't even exist in practical reality yet there is a culture of animosity towards it, is it not fair to wonder if that element isn't just plain anti-social. Period?

Darrel Issa, a person with a shady background himself, implicated in car theft and insurance fraud, has gravely intensified the identity crisis America has been suffering since much of America began descending into the deep negative footprints of the following:

- flim-flam man Newt Gingrich
- self-mythologized schemer Grover Norquist
- blathering hate-meister Rush Limbaugh
- the richest meddlers in the world responsible for the phony tea party which has made
bean-counting deficit reduction the be all and end all of human purpose, the brothers
- the recklessly greedy intruder Rupert Murdoch
- and Darth Vader himself, Richard "Dick" Cheney who created the post Cold War stampede of the military industrial complex into becoming the massive "terrorism complex" made necessary by his very actions as Secy of Defense in 1991. To be aggressive in Iraq to the extent of building air bases in Saudi Arabia from which to fly sorties to Iraq was the single most pivotal event drawing the ire of avengers like Usama Bin Laden. It precipitated both World Trade Center attacks and the ensuing wars and aggressive growth of homeland security and intelligence gathering gone wild.

ICE ISSA 2014 -- Not only is he incompetent but dangerous and arguably criminal. Very.

And that brings us to "Rebuke Ryan 2014"

After the so-called "bi-partisan budget deal" which seemed to press somewhat of a "reset" button in partisan relations, Ryan shot his mouth off in an interview on television which was self-incriminating, arrogant and threatening. When talking about the debt ceiling and, whether he realizes it or not, his Constitutional duty to sign off on it, he piped up with "I don't know what we're gonna get, but we're not gonna get nothing". This man is sworn to "defend the Constitution of the United States against enemies foreign and DOMESTIC". Inciting conspiracy to hold the US economy hostage and possibly damaging the solidity of the US dollar on international currency exchanges (as a debtor nation no less) for "ideological booty" he and his cohorts haven't yet selected is such a threat to the United States and all of us in it, that we would go to war in a heartbeat if any foreign enemy asserted such power against us.

This is not the behavior of a US Congressman and legislator. It is the conduct of a treacherous domestic enemy who is willing to lend himself to conspiracy to extort funds--concessions that take money from the government by the crime of extortion rather than by democratic discourse in which legislators vote on appropriations and accept the outcomes of elections--like them or not.  Personally, if it were me in the White House, I would have him in irons facing charges where he can explain how this is NOT the behavior of both a criminal and a treacherous domestic enemy given the size and stakes of the crime. But since I'm not the POTUS, voting for anyone but republicans to get such a person out of a position where he can arrogantly proclaim "we're not gonna get nothing" for doing our job in favor of extorting the POTUS for more concessions that starve the poor while the rich remain untouched is the order of business for 2014.

Rebuke Ryan 2014.

And just as John Boehner let the cat out of bag a bit on the phony tea party, Ryan took it upon himself to rescue and reinforce this bought and paid for tyranny to help the forces who intend to shrink the American government--government of the people, by the people and for the people to "where it can be drowned in a bathtub". Whether Ryan is that diabolical or not, he's the chosen face of criminal megalomaniacs who will have taken over the country entirely if these reckless ideologues win or continue to meddle in power. These are the stakes. No tip-toeing to vote "DEMS 2014". We need to purge criminality, end "groverment" and repair "government".

Let's get it done. This is the year the obstruction can end. But it won't happen with niceties when you're facing criminal influence which has made today's republican the bunch of dimwits and posers they are.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

But repudiate works for me. I was looking for the shortest R word because originally I had it as " and Ride Ryan out of town on a rail". LOl That wouldn't work though, he'd still be in the House, just a little less dangerous.

"Can" this crew of crooks and crackpots. They're killing us. I was so relieved the night Pres Obama won his first term that the nightmare of eight years of Bush-Cheney was finally over that I celebrated by going out to see Oliver Stone's "W" in the theater. But deliverance from evil it surely was not. And that evil has been outing itself in no uncertain terms the whole time Cheny-Bush's wars started receding from dominating the media.

Creating a fund to defeat those three, and starting very early, is the key.

How many millions has Issa wasted on goose chaises? It seems it would be very easy to start a "Stop Issa from throwing your money down the toilet" campaign. Of course, in that district it would probably benefit a tea party type in the primary, but is that bad?

Same technique for Boehner. In fact, he threw what --30 billion--in that same toilet by refusing to allow a vote. Advertise now. His district is actually not that conservative.

And Ryan is actually the easiest to beat, because Pope Frank may be about to excommunicate him...or at the very least, burn Ayn Rand, in the next few months. That "good Catholic boy" does't seem half so Catholic any more. His stand on social security alone should sink him.
