The 'Best' of Fox 2013 Tournament is down to its final four contenders, and this matchup is the premier contest of penultimate round: We've got Fox's insistence that Santa and Jesus are very, very white matched up against their insistence that President Obama is not only very, very black, but that he also supports pretty much anyone willing to kill white people. Yeah, I know it's crazy, but don't blame me. These guys get paid to believe this stuff, and there's a good 2 or 3 percent of the country that eats it up. Anyway, you know the drill: Vote for the craziest moment, and the winner will proceed to the championship round. Best of luck to you, and worst of luck to the jokers who made this tournament possible. Oh, and Happy New Year!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

  •  well, they both expose foxian racism (13+ / 0-)

    but I had to go for "bravely exposes" because that's the fox MO. Drum up as much outrage as possible and try to get it transferred to the rest of the media. "White Christmas" had no chance of being transferred because it was just inane and the rest of the media picked up on that and actually debunked it.  While they pretty much ignored the other story, they didn't work to counter it either.  The MO held because the rest of the media could limit "white Christmas" as something stupid megyn kelley said, rather than something stupid fox says.

      is that all the other "newspeople" in the audience are sitting by as docile as cattle while the Fox Noise "reporter" goes on and on in fake "wonder" why President Obama hadn't spoken out about the Australian murdered in Oklahoma.

      C'mon people.  At least roll your eyes a little.  I know the populace are sheep, the media should set the bar a little higher doncha think?

    See, 3 African-American teens who kill a white man for fun is just like a semi-white man killing a black teen after being told to stand down by the dispatcher because they will likely be prosecuted to the full extend of the law, probably charged as adults, whereas he was found not guilty.  So, it's the same.

    Why hasn't the "president" commented on every other single murder in the United States this past year?  Hmmmm?

    Newb, must limit myself to four foxnews clips, it is the first time I've seen either. How do you do it? Ooooom.

    IMO, the Jesus and Santa statement speaks more crazy about what those viewers might accept to fit their world view.

    choice.  If the metric were hackery then the #5 seed would get it in a landslide.

    Of course FNC excels at both, so either way it's a win for them.

  •  This one was the hardest yet. (4+ / 0-)

    I went with Santa and Jesus being white because while the Obama story was grotesque I actually found the other one to be such a crazy attempt to make someone from the Middle East white just to fit their racist agenda that I had to vote for it.

    The "I was just joking" defense was the bacon on that shit sandwich.

    Do I vote for racist wingnuttery or wingnut racism?

    Decisions, decisions.

    While "Jesus and Santa are white" is stupid and laughable on its face, "bravely exposing" President Obama's "blatant support for murdering white people" is evil. So, #5 for the upset and may God have mercy on their souls.

    The thing is so backwoods, so damned ugly. The other thing is, too, but the racial composition of Christ's blood is a canard that has kept some of the nastiest company in the last 500 years, and the thing is, they either don't know that, or if they do they either don't care or simply like leading their ignorant viewers up the ratings ladder. Put otherwise, these people stink.

  •  I voted for white baby Jesus (0+ / 0-)

    However, maybe I erred. I checked my Bible (Revised Murdoch Edition) and Jesus' genealogy in Matthew's list sounds pretty white to me, starting with David and going on through:

    14 And Lars begat Sven; and Sven begat Bjorn; and Bjorn begat Erik;

    15 And Erik begat Gerhard; and Gerhard begat Anders; and Anders begat Jakob;

    16 And Jakob begat Josef the husband of Marie, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

  •  Ed Henry, because Freedumb (0+ / 0-)
    On June 20, 2011, it was announced that Henry was leaving his position with CNN to become the Chief White House Correspondent for Fox News Channel. CNN insiders said that network management had already told Henry that his contract would not be renewed. During an interview with Don Imus, however, Henry explained his departure from CNN by comparing the Fox News Channel to perennial baseball contenders. “I root for the Yankees, so I like to play for a first-place team. Now, technically the Yankees are not in first place right now, I have to admit, they're a game behind the Red Sox. But there's no doubt about where Fox is”, making no mention of the non-renewal of his contract. While covering the 2012 Democratic National Convention, Henry said that he had no regrets about leaving CNN: "It is my first convention with Fox, and I am excited, the move has been great. I feel like I have so much freedom here, it is exciting and the numbers don’t lie. We are no longer competing with other cable networks, we are competing with big three and beating them." While covering the election, he expressed his opinion that Fox News was unfairly criticized by people in the news business (including some at CNN), saying: "It’s been a crutch [for CNN staffers] to say that Fox has done well due to the ideology. It’s an easy out to say, 'Oh, we’re not picking sides and that’s why we don’t have an audience.'

    The President DOES NOT get involved IN EVERY LEGAL CASE IN THE COUNTRY!  The President HAS OTHER CRAP TO DO!

    The President occasionally interjects when the legal system FAILS, victims are left without justice, and assailants are still walking our street.  THIS IS THE RIGHT USE OF PRESIDENTIAL POWER.

    In this case, it was discovered that it WAS NOT 3 African American youths (1 was black, 1 appears white, and 1 appears to be of mixed race)... and even the questioner goes back and forth between claiming it was 2 and claiming it was 1... so he clearly had no clue what he was talking about.

    Besides this faux racial bias they were trying to "expose," THE CRIMINALS WERE ARRESTED AND ARE BEING PROSECUTED.  There's no need to talk about this!  The justice system WORKED!

    GAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!
