In October 2013,Washington Apple Care allowed my youngest son to receive health benefits. Obama care is the answer to a type 1 diabetic with two mental problems.
From then until now,I have been forced to pay cash for all his medical needs, I have the letter which says he is approved until September 2014. Not one Doctor or pharmacy
will honor his approval letter. The State informs me my son and thousands like him, need
to be placed in the computer for the care giver to believe he really IS enrolled. I kidded
the pharmacy when I asked them If they thought I printed his acceptance letter.
When you call the number your told to, your placed on hold. I have been placed on hold
three times for an hour, two hours and once over three hours. Each time the phone
would start making weird sounds and I was hearing a dial tone.
A very nice lady who works for the State, admits thousands of folks were dumped into Obama care and it will take an unknown amount of time to put everyone in the computer.
So I pay cash for my ill son for who knows how long. My republican ex-friend asks why I am not livid. Of course I wish they had more people hired to help. It is, what it is. In time the poor people like my son will be in a better place. He is in desperate need of lots
of mental Health care. Someday he can get it.
Success sometimes means you need to give people time to get caught up with the demand. Meanwhile I pay cash and my budget is stretched, so what?
Feel sorry for the Father in Colorado today at his Daughters funeral, shot by a kid looking for a teacher. The Dad forgave the killer. That is one strong Man!
Feel sorry for the women and children in Syria who will die tonight. Killed for sport.
Feel sorry for the uninsured in Texas. Governor Perry values politics over suffering.
Pray for your hero who may still be in war that few care about anymore.
I will take care of my son,if you live in Washington State and were poor like him, you have
a wait in front of you. In the end,it will be worth with it. I have "skin" in the game. If I
can wait , so can you. I have one very patient veteran to complete my promise to. When
he is finally done. I have phone numbers that the people on the other end of the line
will take care of you.
I believe in the Affordable Care Act,so should you.
