"I said I was sorry!"
Well, bully
for him:
The Florida Republican congressman who was busted for possession of cocaine in November will return to his day job on Capitol Hill next week.
Rep. Trey Radel, who finished a stint in rehab late last month, is expected back in Washington when the House returns next Tuesday evening, according to a source familiar with his plans.
Should Radel be faulted for having an addiction? Or course not. But there is the little matter of his vote—made, for all we know, while he was as high as a kite—for forced drug testing of food stamp recipients.
It's not the addiction. It's Radel's hypocrisy and apparent need to stick it to those who need a helping hand. Unless it's his hand.
