More below the fold:
Pamena reports about a new guild event coming up on Sunday, and a modification to Saturday Night Massacre. I'll let her give you the details:
SNM Rotating Lead and a NEW event!
I have asked several people to help me out with organizing Saturday Night Massacres each month - I was getting burnt out with being in game every Saturday to do it, and while I love it, I thought it would also be great to get more folks involved in organizing it, choosing the venue, and leading. So, Tvath very kindly took on SNM this past Saturday, Tonyharrison is leading this coming Saturday the 11th, I will do the 18th and Mageartin will lead on the 25th. If anyone else wants a crack at leading SNM, just drop me a line and I will put you on the schedule.
I have also scheduled a new event for Sunday at 7PM, which I called "L2Play your Alt Raider". I thought at this stage of the expansion, lots of people are leveling alts, or trying new roles on their mains, and might want to try raiding with them - I have two tanks that I've not actually tanked anything with because I'm too chicken to take them into a random group and try it, as an example. So I thought, why not set up a raid specifically as a training exercise, for people taking on something new, so we can all make mistakes together in the security of a guild group, and help each other in vent as we go. So, I will be tanking on either my pally or my DK, and I hope people will want to bring their lesser geared alts, or their mains if they've just returned to the game and want to try raiding. I put Mogu'shan Vaults on the schedule - I thought doing that one on normal mode would be enough of a challenge, even though with Timeless Isle stuff we should all be overgeared for it, for people to really learn something about raiding in a new spec or role. There is no flex mode for this, so we need 10 people and I hope we can do it.

Speaking of Saturday Night Massacre, here's Tvath with the report from SNM last week:
Saturday Night Massacre:
We went back to Icecrown once again, which gave us a chance to help some new guildies get achievements and kill the Lich King. Alas, we missed the achievement we were going for, "Full House," which some of us need for "Glory of the Icecrown Raider," but we'll try again another day. I understand Arcanesong is taking us to the Bastion of Twilight next weekend!

Speaking of Tvath, here's the Team Z Raid Report:
Team Z:
Oh, so close! We are making great progress on Norushen, had the corruption down to 8 percent at one point, but alas the fight continues to elude us. We played a bit with the order of players entering the test realm and I think we're on the right track.
After a good bit of deliberation and discussion we've expanded our raid time to three hours on Sundays, which I think represents a consensus that we want more raid time but we all have lives and schedules, and our geographical distribution spans the continent (waves to Nztorg on other coast).

While we're on the subject of making progress, here's Ninotchka's Team Kaels and Flexorama report:
Team Kaels is back from our holiday travels and travails and getting serious about killing Garrosh. We’re getting quite good at phases 1 and 2, so once we’ve perfected phase 3 we will have a kill under our belt. We got quite close on Tuesday night. The only problem is the perennial problem of a long encounter. In order to get practice on phase 3 we have to go through phases 1 and 2. Still and all, we’re getting close and we all very much look forward to finishing this fight and getting a crack at heroics.
Flexorama attempted wing 3 this week, and did really well on the first two bosses but fell apart on Thok. I think the issue with that fight was that Thanael and I had both tanked the fight in normal mode with two different raid leads, and we had two different sets of assumptions about how and where we were going to place the dinosaur once he came back out of transition. I’m open to suggestions for where flexorama should go next week. We’ve gotten a bunch of new people and new 90s recently, and it would be nice to have a venue for them to ease into raiding. I am also deeply aware that the flex group has not yet killed Garrosh and we all want to. Repeatedly. So I’m asking for feedback as to which bit of flex the flex group should play next week.

And now that we're discussing getting stomped by enormous dinosaurs, here's the Team RubiPam report from Pamena:
We had a great week in Siege this week. First, last Thursday, we went back to Thok the dino and repeatedly wiped to, basically, standing in bad (in this case, bad meant being stomped by the building sized dino.) I do not know why it can be difficult to get out of the way of something that big, but it seemed to be, for some of us anyway. As Rubidium's voice was edging toward exploding head decibel range {"really [name of person who just got stomped by dino], really?"), we tried one last pull, complete with magic pumpkinhead on Pamena - we had been getting closer and closer to be fair, so progress was being made. We got him down below 10%, then below 5% (I think, my memory is a bit fuzzy as I was lying on the floor dead by then) and only Thanael and Xoff and one or two others were still alive - but they kept hacking away at him and BOOM! Dead Dino!!!! I told Thanael later it was an EPIC win, to which he replied, yes but let's make it a bit less epic next time we do this.
Then Monday we moved on to Siegemaster Blackfuse - all of us had done this fight a few times particularly in Nina's flexorama, and I think it really stood us in good stead. And once again, Rubi showed why he makes the big bucks as raid leader [snerk] - we tried a couple of configurations on the conveyor belt and kept dying, so after our break, he switched to having Corwynn solo the belt, and that seems to have been the key, as we got Siegemaster down on the next pull! It was early, but we decided to quit on a high note for the night (it had been quite a while since we had gotten a boss down our first night of working on him), and get back to Paragons Thursday (tonight). So a GREAT week for us - 2 progression bosses down, and we are 12/14 in SoO. If we were an independently rated team, we'd be tied for 9th on the server now - so 2 raid teams both in the top ten on the server is pretty darn good I think for a guild that does not recruit raiders!

Two raid teams in our social liberal guild in the top ten on the server. Ain't that a thing?
That's all I have for you this week. For the Horde!
