Yep, Chris Christie is still news. And there's yet another MSNBC theory floating about the story, too.

And so's the West Virginia chemical spill, about which there is much to say, but not much that's actually known. Like, just what is the stuff that spilled?

All that, plus the general grab-bag backlog that's pretty much guaranteed to get worse as news breaks throughout the morning. Hooray, surplus!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from your hotlist?
Are you sure you want to remove your recommendation? You can only recommend a diary once, so you will not be able to re-recommend it afterwards.

Choose where to republish this diary. The diary will be added to the queue for that group. Publish it from the queue to make it appear.

What? Has Holder focus-grouped this? Is there a bipartisan downside? What about all the other corrupt GOP governors? Do they even have enough non-Bushist US Atty's to handle all that work? Or can Fitzy do it all himself?  It's not like he'd have to win any judgements, after all.

And what about those pics of Obama and Christie cuddling last year? Can the NSA prevent viral internet caption contests?

Virginia chemical spill story.  One would think that this story would be just as important as a four month old, possible political payback traffic jam orchestrated by a New Jersey governor's office.  Even if that guy is maybe running for President IN TWO YEARS.  But not if one was watching the cable news for the last few days.

I know that the mainstream media has a tendency to focus on events in the NYC, LA, and DC areas like no place else in the country exists, but when 300,000 Americans can't drink the water for days, it merits more attention than its gotten.

I learned more about this from your segment today than from anything on cable news since the spill occurred.  Thanks for the effort.

I didn't know about the Koch connection, but I thought it was interesting that in the interview I saw with Joe Manchin, he was bending over backwards to NOT mention coal or the coal industry.  I guess we know who his top donors are anyway.

BTW the SHC measure of pepper heat is the Scoville Heat Unit.  It measures the amount capsaicin in the pepper.
