It's "Metaphor Monday" on The After Show. This is the day when we call things what they are. No Similes allowed. Nope. Not today.

New Jersey Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno is probably not the most credible person to attack Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer's credibility, she has been under investigation the last two years for falsifying documents to help a new hire double dip on salary and pensions; The US Intelligence Community has such visceral hate for Snowden, their fantasies of killing him show they cannot be trusted; On Martin Luther King Day, it is even more vitally important to continue talking about income inequality.

All that and more on The After Show with Wink & Justice.

Question: Who is your audience? What are you here for?

Answer: Tribal Alliances, Heart-felt Convictions, Passionate Reason, Random Abandon, Sustainable Civility and a kiss; to comfort the sad and the mad Ones; the Ones roaming the International section of the American Supermarket at night; or roaming the neglected streets looking for an angry malaprop to sink their teeth into; the Ones who seek without seeking and learn as much as they teach; the Ones who embrace and kiss and embrace again; the Ones who sing the song of the city and the ballads of the forest; the Ones who chant the rhythm of the sea and hum the melody of the desert; the Ones who sing the prayer of Her name and Her name is the World. Yes, those are the Ones.    -- JP

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

Yes, the story behind all this goes deeper than political bullying.

Mayor  Mayor Dawn Zimmer was being muscled by the Rockefeller group and the  lawyer group Sampson's a partner of to move on their building plans.

She refused to be rolled. So Hurricane Sandy Fund relief is being held hostage.

Steve Kornacki goes back 5 years into the events leading up to the corruption going on in New Jersey today. He really lays it out.

     • What made Christies career take off.
     • How Dawn Zimmer became Mayor of Hoboken and is now being cut off by the Christie administration with the most plausible reasons behind the political thuggery coming her way.

The video is 24.35 minutes long. It's packed with information that would be less clear if I were to try and edit it down, even if I were good at it, which I ain't am not (that is the extent of my editing skills)

Steve Kornacki started his journalism career as a reporter in New Jersey and really knows his stuff here.

     (short ad - sorry)
transcript @ link & the next video with Mayor Zimmer:

The next video clip is the interview with Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer and can be viewed by clicking on the link above.
After the short ad a list will appear on the left showing the now playing video as the one just viewed.  (sometimes you have to scroll down a bit to find the listing of the ‘now playing’ video)
Directly below will be a video labeled 'next'. That is the Interview with Mayor Zimmer video and the next is below that and so on..
    That was Saturday's report videos.
This is a link to today's 'Up' with Steve Kornacki (Sunday January 19, 2014) where he continues his coverage of New Jersey politics with more examination of corruption surrounding and within the Christie administration.

The video selections are on the left of the page and to get more from January 19th hover over MSNBC on the left and choose 'UP'. That should load the current videos for viewing or choose any that suits you..(hope that makes sense)
