As the plot predicatably thickens, I am horrified by the amount of public funds that the Christie administration has used in the past to persue their harrasment of public figures who would not fall in line. Not to mention the horror at the actual harrassment itself from "Boss Christie."
WHO IS PAYING the legal fees to defend these potentially criminal activities of Christie and his administration?
Now with the new allegations from Dawn Zimmer's office, which appear to be opening a cesspool of intimidation and threats, it is probable that once the "Omerta*" is lifting and people are not going to sleep afraid to find a horsehead under their sheets when they wake up, that more abuse allegations will surface. (Omerta* "A rule or code that prohibits speaking or divulging information about certain activities, especially the activities of a criminal organization.")
In addition, Bridget Kelly seems to be having a come to Jesus moment, realizing just who will protect her. And it is clearly not "The Family" of "Boss Christie." Wildstein saw the light right away and placed his testimony on the trading floor immediately, demanding blanket immunity.
It seems that Lt Go Kim Guadagno has also been a very busy throwing her weight around, intimidating anyone who stood in the way of the governor. Just where did the funds come from to railroad Dan Aubrey in the Petty Run Scandal?. We know that he spent:
So all Aubrey was out was 10 months of grief, $7,000 in lawyers’ fees, and a chance of any work with the state.
The stink reeking from this Christie Administration is like an ever expanding toxic spill that instead of being stopped is spreading and spreading. The legal profession in New Jersey is going to sleep right now with thoughts of astronomical bonus' and fees dancing in their heads.
Everyone is lawyering up.
What I ask is WHO is going to pay for the Christie Defense Fund?
The New Jersey Taxpayer?
I am not a lawyer, but I put this question out there to the legal eagles and to the New Jersey State Legislature:
Can Christie be prevented from using public funds to defend his administration? When there is sufficient evidence of wrongdoing, can he be forced to use say, campaign funds in stead? Or go 'cap in hand' to the Koch Brothers, staunch supporters of his, and ask for funds? He is, after all, as David Koch said, "my kind of guy!" Can the NJ Legislature take some action here? And in light of convictions of past or present offenses, can monies be demanded back?
Why should New Jersey State Residents Pay for the legal defense of "Boss Christie" and "His Family," just so he can maintain his "Boardwalk Empire?"
(and Oh, by the way, while we are on the subject, when is someone going to investigate Mary Pat Christie's apparently fraudulent "Charity for Sandy?"
