1) Fox News leads the ratings because the average reading level in the US is the fifth grade.
2) The Tea Party is Hillary Clinton's chief ally.
3) Nobody was more aware of the impending backlash that followed the passing of the Affordable Care Act than Obama, but he did it anyway. That's called political courage.
4) Rush Limbaugh has given racists a new mantra: smaller government.
5) Obama's failure to investigate and prosecute the executives responsible for the breakdown in '08 was one of his worst. Unfortunately, the person most responsible, Phil Gramm got away with it because he was a legislator at the time. As head of the Senate Finance committee, he pushed the bills that made it possible. Not only does the corporate elite own an inequitable share of the nation's wealth, they're able to destroy the nation's economy with impunity.
6) The most dangerous man in the world is Benjamin Netanyaho. He's who he claims his enemies are--a fundamentalist puppet. His effort to shame Obama before Congress for suggesting a new perception of Israel in this country was despicable, yet did not receive the national condemnation it deserved.
7) The most revealing photo of Obama was in South Africa when he wasn't permitted to see Nelson Mandela in the hospital.
8) Corporations are not "persons." Period.
9) Michelle Obama is the most genuinely charming person playing her role since Jackie Kennedy.
10) Obama could have been one of our greatest presidents if he had white skin. His symbolic importance to the future of the US can't be underestimated, and our standing in the world as a demonstration of democracy is a greater contribution to peace and stability than all the missiles in our arsenal.
11) The definition of a fanatic is someone who mistakes politics for religion, which is called ideology. To promote and engage in political solutions, as opposed to ideological flag waving, is the definition of a moderate in the current environment.
12) The most corrupt act by a politician since Viet Nam was G.W. Bush taking the country to war under false pretenses. When the story is finally told it'll be one of the worse episodes in our political history, and proves that modern communication channels aren't enough to stem the tide of reaction.
It takes more than the facts to quell the mob and a president willing to take advantage of it for the benefit of their cronies and class. That, my friends, is the grounds for impeachment.
