Not a good day for Nancy Pelosi.  Just as she announces that her work is not finished we learn that the DNC has given up hope of winning back the House and one of her strongest supporters, Henry Waxman, is retiring.

There are things I could say but I think I'll restrain myself from piling on.  At least she'll get a sympathetic ear from Jon who ♥ her and sucks up every time she appears.

I know that there are are a lot of people disappointed the Who Dats washed out 2 weeks ago but if they hadn't Stephen couldn't have gotten this interview with Drew Brees.  Among his notable accomplishments is the only team in the NFL he hasn't defeated is the Ravens.  His nickname in New Orleans is 'Breesus' but he makes up for that by having recorded an It Gets Better video in 2010.

Next week's guests are-

The Daily Show

* Monday 2/3: TBA
* Tuesday 2/4: Elizabeth Banks
* Wednesday 2/5: George Clooney
* Thursday 2/6: Robyn Doolittle

The Colbert Report

* Monday 2/3: Jennifer Senior
* Tuesday 2/4: Pussy Riot
* Wednesday 2/5: Lake Street Dive
* Thursday 2/6: Charlie Crist

All I can say is GET A FUCKING WIKI PAGE!  As always any day is open, express an interest.

This weekend we will be covering (on The Stars Hollow Gazette and DocuDharma) Puppy Bowl X, Superb Owl XLVIII, and Groundhog Day (I apologize for the drop outs, but that's the way it is with YouTube, I'll figure something out).

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
