I was going through some old mail, and looking over what could be considered chit chat to most, but to others, each word written contains another nugget into the mind of what most considered one of the most brilliant minds, ever.
I just felt like sharing a quote or two from these epic, personal letters.
This is a quote from a letter dated December 21, 1933
A.E. has moved to Princeton, and he's not really that thrilled. Seems it's s bit strict, and it bothers him.
So, onto this tidbit.
" I have already had a fight with the director of the institute here, which is completely settled now. I think that this will be the ongoing situation here. The people here are curiously formal and lack individuality. It is not easy for someone to be accepted. The German influence is fatal, and the antisemitism is very pronounced, even it it is covered in fine manners."
Being of limited abilities myself, it might be fun for others with a keen interest in A.E. to have a little insight into the chit chat that took place some 80 plus years ago.
Yah, it's real. Let's not get into the how and why, and is it real. I just wanted to share.
