Welcome to the January 31, 2014 Post Game Show for Mojo Friday!

I fortunately don't get colds much anymore.  I'm a lot more careful with what I stick in my nose ... and do my best to get a good nights sleep. I usually get them when I'm exhausted.  Or if I've been in airplanes and gotten too tired. That's certainly the way to catch the damn things.

I can only imagine what it's like to be on a cruise and get a norovirus ... so our survey today is about what's the worst place you got sick in?  On vacation, on a business trip, visiting your significant-other's family (especially if it took place while they were becoming your significant other!) ... or what else?

Meanwhile, get your flu shot, get plenty of sleep and stay away from other people!

Today's Mojo Friday diary is Mojo Friday - WHAM! - Edition

The Mojo Friday Postgame is a statistical analysis of the Mojo Friday diary that is posted every Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. ET. For further info please check out  Jez's 'Official' "Mojo Friday Snecktionary"  MKinTN posted a diary to help everyone achieve greater success called How to Succeed at Mojo Friday Without Really Trying.

Tagging tips - Search For Tags - Browse For Tags

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

If I hadn't left to pick up the Screamapillar from school I would have made it.

    Thanks bjedward!

I'm on a trip, flying home Friday, so won't be in the diary nor able to write and post a post game show ...

come up with a "worst". There's a lot of years to review, and I'm basically pretty sturdy, so lots of sifting for not many occasions at all.

I wouldn't even consider childbirth or my itty-bitty cancer surgery as potential "worsts" -- they weren't nearly as bad as I imagine they might have been!

I've never had a broken bone, been in a car accident (well, hardly), gotten mugged, or shot in any form, had a violent partner...

Well, sitting here, something has bubbled up... a couple of months ago I had a 24-36? hr siege of some kind of "indigestion"... agonizing cramps in the torso area, like gas-bubbles-from-h*ll? short and sharp but very very frequent. couldn't sleep because they were so painful. don't have any idea what it was, don't think it was food-poisoning because no bathroom effects. don't think it was a heart attack, although I have terrible family history for that, and am getting old enough for the female hormone protection to have gone away... I imagine it MIGHT be what a stone-passage of some sort might feel like, but it wasn't consistent in location.

Happened at home, didn't interrupt any other activity, just hurt like the blazes for what seemed like forever! It stopped fairly abruptly, trailed off over a couple of hours. I think if it had continued I would have gone to the Dr or ER...

"real" work : a job where you wash your hands BEFORE you use the bathroom...

Thanks to our glorious Ceiling Cat.

Here's my re-post from Floja Roja's F-Bomb today about public F-Bombs here in Utah:

Last weekend I attended a 5000 person rally for Clean Air No Excuses at the Utah State Capitol.

Among the many things they did was give clean-air grades to legislators.
    SO many F-Bombs!
Great stuff like "Representative (name) is a real F too ..."
That speaker did a lot of it AGAIN (in a local TV studio) and got away with "Legislative Fs" one more time.

Literally as I got up from my computer to go get in the car and make the drive up to the bay area I felt the cold hit me.

Started feeling better Friday afternoon but wasn't completely over it until Saturday.

But we traveled a lot, so it was bound to happen.
I hurled all over  our RV at the Fort Wilderness Resort in Disney World. (My brother next eldest helped)
I hurled in the lobby of the MGM grand in Las Vegas the one that was there in 1976.

But the best one was actually my SO got sick in London while we were becoming SOs.
She got the flu a few days before we left town.
Intrepid as she is, she still went to see The Who at the Albert Hall a second time, though very ill.
The take away memory was when I stopped at a flower vendor in Hyde Park corner to buy her some irises. The flower guy asked, "Are these for your wife?"
I said, "Yes.... I mean no. They're for my girlfriend."
We both had a big laugh.  Turns out I was already thinking of her as my wife, but it came out differently.

I ain't often right, but I've never been wrong. Seldom turns out the way it does in this song.
