Welcome to Sunday All Day Brunch. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. The last couple of days have been an adventure to say the least. I took my brother to the lawyer to get his will made and give me power of attorney and medical power of attorney for him. As I was backing out of the parking spot we heard a horrible dragging sound. Getting out and looking under the car I saw that part of the undercarriage was dragging on the ground. It would be a three hour wait to get AAA. I pulled out my trusty roll of duct tape and taped it up enough to get Reid home and the car to Midas. Well there were a lot more problems then just the under carriage. I was driving back to Midas on Friday when all of a sudden there was a horrible sound and I knew I had a flat. I limped the car across the busy intersection and over to the inner of two turn lanes and got out and checked. The front tire on the passenger side was ripped open. A policeman stopped traffic and I got the car over to a parking lot and Midas came and put the donut spare on and several hours later the car was drivable. I'm glad I wasn't on the freeway but as with the undercarriage I've no idea what could have possible cut that tire open. The power of duct tape wouldn't have held that tire together.
When I was living at the house in Indiana the towel rack in the upstairs bathroom was hanging down. There was basically only the baseboard and a large space behind it. My Dad had used the clips that expand to hold it up. The way it was torn out that wouldn't be an option this time. So with spackling and Krazy Glue I figured I would be able to get it back up. However the bar had to be inside the holders. It would be too heavy to stay up until the spackling dried. I had no intention of holding it up that length of time when I spotted a nail directly above the middle of the bar that held a picture. Taking dental floss I wrapped it around the bar and the nail and left it there until everything dried. I knew watching MacGyver would come in handy.
I was thinking about labels. Don't Panic I've Got Duct Tape would be a good label. Someone had a thread on Facebook asking if you came with a warning label what would it be. As much as I like the duct tape one I think one of my favorite t-shirt describes me best. It says, I'm not crazy. My reality is just different. So how about you? What warning label fits you best?
