More craziness out of Georgia:

Three of the eight Republicans running in the Georgia Senate primary said they would impeach President Barack Obama if given the chance.
The candidates signaled their willingness to impeach the president at a candidate forum on Saturday. At the forum, a woman said President Bill "Clinton was impeached for perjury. Obama has perjured himself on multiple occasions. Would you support impeachment if presented for a vote?"
Of the five candidates at the event, Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA), engineer Derrick Grayson and businessman Eugene Yu said they would support impeachment. Former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel and attorney Art Gardner did not raise their hands. - TPM, 2/3/14

When asked for further comment, Broun spokesman Christine Hardman said, "If House leadership brought an impeachment vote before the floor, then there would certainly be good reason for doing so, with substantive information and evidence to impeach the President. With the President repeatedly bypassing Congress through executive order, lying to the American people on Obamacare, and failing to address what really happened in Benghazi, I can understand why this would be an important issue to many Georgians right now."
"What I don't understand, is how a candidate can claim to be a proven conservative, and yet if such a resolution was brought up for a vote, they would oppose it," she added.
Reps. Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.) and Jack Kingston (R-Ga.), who are also running for the nomination, were not at the forum. - Huffington Post, 2/3/14
Crazy old Broun is just doing what he can to appeal to crazy old GOP/Tea Party voters:

Throughout the primary, Broun has touted himself as the “true conservative” in the race, and many expect the crowded primary to shift candidates rightward.
Support for impeachment isn’t exactly controversial in some conservative circles. Last summer, two members of Congress and one Senator discussed impeachment at town hall meetings with their constituents. One, Rep. Kerry Bentivolio, R-Mich., said it would be a “dream come true.” - ABC News, 2/3/14
Broun has a good shot at winning his primary and he's really fighting for the nominee. Which is why this race is a great pick opportunity for Democrats. If you would like to get involved with Michelle Nunn's (D. GA) campaign, you can do so here:
