More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from your hotlist?

(The diary will be removed from the site and returned to your drafts for further editing.)
(The diary will be removed.)
Are you sure you want to save these changes to the published diary?

  •  From Jed Lewison's "The Jed Report" on Tuesday (1+ / 0-)

He reported poll stats on the 2016 GOP hopefuls.

I made a chart - two, actually - and posted 'em in a comment that I've shared below:

I charted the data. Combining the last three categories (shown combined in Chart 2) makes it evident: Anybody but Today's GOP appears to be edging out everyone else.

    Chart #1:

...and when you combine the last three categories,

    Chart #2:

"Nobody" preferred, but Huck if they had to go for the least nausea-inducing - is that what they're saying?

Your interpretation is your own, of course, but the numbers sure aren't lying - and they can't be very encouraging to anyone in the RNC or tied to the GOP, except maybe Huckabee.

Reality seems to damn the GOP at every turn, and yet they still manage to affect, damage, disavow and keep on soldiering.

They've become the somewhat-less effective cockroach zombie terminators of politics.

  •  Unemployment Extension (0+ / 0-)

Saw an HP report last night that Reed (the "Rhode Island Reed") has some Senate Republican support for a 3 month exemption, with an exemption for millionaires in it.  So that's all it took to get Republican support, an exemption for millionaires so they don't get unemployment benefits, which probably effects about 2 unemployed people in the whole country, if that.

Anyway, the report says there will be a cloture vote on this Bill on Thursday, which may or may not get 60 votes.

    Any thoughts?
