Not much time to put this out there, so I'll be quick --
New office for health insurance enrollment opens in Davenport
Linn County successful in Medicaid expansion
I'm not sure if Brainwrap can tease any numbers of these that would be usable in the larger picture, but beyond that there are a few quotes in each worth looking at. For example, in the insert on right-hand side of the first story (the insert probably has the info most of interest to Dkos reader anyway, unless you have an interest in office hours for a new enrollment center):
Jennifer Busch remembers one man who signed up for health insurance recently with her help as a Genesis Health System navigator.
"He was under 30 years old and diabetic," she said during Thursday's opening of the Enroll Quad-Cities office in downtown Davenport.
"He had to take three bottles of medications each month, and it cost him $100 per bottle. His deductible was around $200 and maximum out-of-pocket $400, and he’d meet that in no time, and then his medication and care would be covered," she said.
That is one example from among an estimated 10,000 people who previously were uninsured but recently signed up for coverage through a program in Iowa or Illinois.
Anyway, both articles are pretty short, if you have five minutes to spare go give them a skim.
