Oh is that right?  Credo Amouzouvik challenging me, AGAIN?  I got 71% of the votes in 2012.  Now he wants to challenge me again?  Come on, Credo!  Let's see what you've got!  Everyone loves me here!
Aside from the Wicked Witch of Congress (aka Michelle Bachmann), Renee Ellmers Fudd, Diane Black (no relationship to the late actress Karen Black) and Kristi Noem (last name not to be confused with Gnome), Rep. Marsha Blackburn is certainly one to be reckoned with as far as being challenged for re-election.  Her district is rated by Cook Political Report with a PVI of R+18 and since representing Tennessee's 7th Congressional District since 2003, she's basically coasted to re-election ever since without a scratch while being a chicken hawk and rubber stamping President Bush's Iraq War.

However, 2012 Democratic Challenger to Marsha Blackburn (yes, she had one), Credo Amouzouvik is making another run for Congress in TN-07 undeterred by Blackburn's "stature."  This time, he joins fellow Democrat Dan Cramer, who as it turns out, is a Iraq War Veteran like Amouzouvik.

Tomorrow, February 7th in Clarksville, TN, Amouzouvik will be announcing his run for Congress to challenge Marsha Blackburn.  In case you are interested in joining in at the event, details are as follows:

Friday, February 7, 2014
7:00pm in CST

Outlaw Field
200 Airport Rd Bldg 5
Clarksville, Tennessee 37042

Please join us on this Feb 7, 2014 as Mr. Credo Amouzouvik makes his announcement to run for Congress to represent the 7th congressional district of Tennessee in Washington DC, followed by a VIP dinner, Wine tasting, Photo with the candidate, Vendors show and a Silent Auction.

Tickets are $15 for the ceremony and $40 for the VIP dinner.

For tickets, please contact Mrs. Lovely Morgan at (931) 237-5633.
looking forward to having a great time with you all.

Thank you.

Here's some background about Credo Amouzouvik:

Credo Amouzouvik is a combat-wounded war veteran, who is medically retired. Born in the west African nation of Togo, Credo is a naturalized US Citizen, and a committed member of the Democratic party whose platform is focused on education, jobs, energy, and infrastructure.

Amouzouviks journey on the path towards citizenship began after the horrific attacks of September 11th, 2001 when was inspired to help America in her time of need. He enlisted in the US Army, and was wounded by an Improvised Explosive Device while on deployment to Iraq. Enduring multiple surgeries and a long recovery process, he has since recovered fully.

His dedicated service to our nation earned him citizenship, and that drive to public service has continued to guide him ever since. Amouzouvik continued giving back to those in need founding the Homeffa foundation, a group that provided direct humanitarian aid in Haiti after the devastating earthquake that rocked that country in 2010, and here at home with recovery efforts after the Great Flood of 2010 which inundated scores of homes and businesses bordering the Cumberland River.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
